Time:     9 a.m - 1 p.m 

PURPOSE OF GOVERNMENT STUDIES:

 

  1. Have fun!

  2. Hang out with old friends and make new friends!

  3. Visit Fort Hawkins and its new Visitor Center.

  4. Take an active part in discovering the story of the Magna Carta presented by State 

  5. Government Studies Chairman Tyler Baker AND WIN REALLY REALLY GOOD PRIZES!

  6. Enjoy lunch from Chick-fil-A and a short program by Fort Hawkins archaeologist Daniel Elliott.

  7. Purchase Abby’s State Project fund-raising items and support her project...

There will be a joint meeting of the State and Senior State Boards of Management on September 26, 2015, at 9:00 a.m. All State and Senior State Officers, Society Presidents and Senior Society Presidents, Honorary State Presidents who are members of C.A.R., Senior Honorary State Presidents in good standing, and State and Senior State Chairmen are

encouraged to attend (see State Bylaws, Article X, Section 1 (a-d) and Section 2 (a-e).

N.S.C.A.R. DRESS CODE and APPROPRIATE C.A.R. ATTIRE:


The Mission Statement of the Children of the American Revolution states that the organization trains good citizens and develops leaders. The Dress Code is established to ensure that all the good citizens representing this organization, both members and seniors, present themselves in a professional, dignified manner befitting a leader. Appropriate C.A.R. attire is always modest in length and exposure, well-fitting and allows the wearer to move, sit and work comfortably and respectably. Revealing clothing is not acceptable. Appropriate shoes must be worn at all times. Appropriate attire for the GSSCAR Government Studies will be any of the following: 

 

Slacks, conservative length shorts, or skirts
No mini-skirts, jeans, uncovered leggings, short-shorts, or tank tops.
 

Polo shirt or T-shirt
Abby will be selling her 2015-16 GSSCAR fund-raising tees and polos,
and they really look great! You could plan to buy one when you arrive and wear it at the meeting.

 

IT WOULD BE WONDERFUL IF WE COULD TAKE A GROUP PHOTO WITH EVERYONE WEARING A GSSCAR  T-shirt or GSSCAR polo!
